  • Secondary keywords used throughout your article = minimum 50 monthly searches.


This is the important thing to remember. Don’t use your keyword too many times. Write your articles naturally so that the reader can enjoy it. If the reader does not enjoy it, they will not read it, and leave your website quickly, which will affect your rankings. It makes no difference how many people see your post/article if no one reads and
shares it.


If you have a relative new website, don’t tend to bother with keywords/keyword phrases that have more than 100 competition regardless of how many searches it gets’s.

That is 50 visitors each month. So, one article with that keyword and I can count on roughly 600 views per year.

When you find relevant keyword phrases you should think about writing to the reader using the relevant keyword phrase the best and most natural way. That trumps all else.

The general rule of thumb is, you go for several keywords at the same time but you will have one main keyword. This main keyword/keyword phrase is also going to be the name of your article.
